Communications Intern
About the job
For our Communications team composed of six team members, we are looking for two Communications Interns ( 32-40 hours) to be based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.
The start date will be in February 2024 or shortly after, for a period of 4 – 6 months.
Main responsibilities Communications Intern
- Updating, maintaining and producing digital content for Oikocredit’s corporate website, social media channels and intranet.
- Planning and supporting the release of the quarterly financial results.
- Coordinating review and translation processes.
- Maintaining/managing the photo & video publication process, responsible for our multimedia database tool.
- Supporting the creation of corporate videos, corporate publications and digital newsletters.
- Researching and updating our media distribution list.
- Responding to ad-hoc marketing and communications requests from our offices around the world.
Main responsibilities Events Coordinator intern
- Working closely with the project manager on the planning and project implementation of the 50th anniversary of Oikocredit.
- Planning and supporting the production of communications and event materials.
- Creating event toolkits for regional and local events.
- Supporting with the coordination of stakeholders involved in the project.
- Supporting with any other tasks relevant to the project.
Qualifications
- Students enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree programme in the Netherlands in the field of communications, marketing, management or related.
- A strong interest in development finance.
- Some (work) experience in events, communications and/or marketing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, other languages (French, Spanish) will be considered an asset.
- Excellent command of MS Office.
- Strong attention to detail, time management and self-organisation skills.
- Highly self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment.

Additional information
You will receive an internship allowance amounting to € 330.00 gross per month on the basis of 40 hours per week (Dutch standard internship allowance). In case the number of hours is less, the allowance will be calculated pro rata. In case you do not have a public transport (OV) subscription, Oikocredit will reimburse travel expenses on the base of second class public transport.
