Our client is a Dutch family-owned leader in the agri-food sector. They have been supporting farmers and greenhouse growers for over 65 years in the transition to more efficient and sustainable food production methods. Their product portfolio ranges from hardware, software to consulting services. With production facilities in the Netherlands and 7 offices across 3 continents, the products reach partners such as investors, installers and greenhouse builders, as well as end users like growers and livestock farmers.
With the increasing demands from the international markets that they are operating in, our client is looking for a new International Sales Manager based in the Netherlands to facilitate their rapid growth and tap untouched potential markets.
What you will do
As the International Sales Manager, you will use consultative selling skills and a customer-centric approach to advise clients on suitable solutions. The role focuses on growing new business partnerships and strengthening the relationship with existing customers via their diverse sales channels (dealers, distributors, installers)
You will be part of the EMEA & Rest of the World sales team with a total of 13 people, based in the Netherlands, France and Spain. You will present the client’s total product portfolio and together with the Sales team, you will define your account areas. You will report to the EMEA Sales Director.
- Manage the extensive full sales cycles and
- Identify business opportunities and prospect new clients in the assigned markets.
- Lead the discussion with customers and partners, including farmers, horticulturists, growers, installers, and greenhouse builders to explore their needs.
- Work closely with (technical) inside sales and product specialists to propose suitable solutions that solve clients’ challenges.
- Manage the projects and follow up with clients throughout the delivery phase to keep clients happy.
- Navigate through complex stakeholder relationships.
Who you are
- A completed HBO/University (Bsc/Msc) education (technical and/or commercial).
- Affinity with technology and a minimum 5 years of experience in international commercial function (sales, account management, business development) in the innovative technology industry, preferably in the agriculture or horticulture sector.
- Great communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Strong project management and relationship management skills.
- Ambitious, proactive, persistent, and result-driven
- Willing to travel internationally for business trips.
- Currently living and eligible to work in the Netherlands.
